Muck

Muck is a podcast in which an “idealistic, investigative podcast journalist digs for answers surrounding an unsolved missing person cold case in rural Appalachia.”

Muck tells the story of Albert Edwin Carter – a young podcast journalist for The Muck, a weekly talk radio program produced out of Washington, DC. On field assignment in rural Buckhannon, West Virginia, Albert seeks to uncover the truth about Gregory Verdant, an out-of-town businessman who mysteriously went missing in the late-1990s. The case has never been solved despite rampant speculation and rumors of Verdant’s fate. Through interviews with pertinent witnesses, victims, and presumed suspects, Albert pieces together the puzzle of the incident. In the process, he grapples with the complex, subjective notions of justice and revenge, and comes to grips with a recent loss of his own.
