Illusion is a nonfiction storytelling podcast that presents true stories “exploring how our senses can be fooled, and how experiencing illusions is part of what makes us human.”
Our world is full of illusion — distortions of the senses that bend our reality and let us experience the impossible. It's been said that illusion is the first of all pleasures. And as far as we know, we humans are the only creatures that experience realities that don't exist. And create them deliberately.
From grand stage magic, to the visual arts, architecture, fashion and film, devious swindles and cons. The illusions we create are all around us. And experiencing illusion is a fundamental part of what it means to be human.
