Astreya Book 1: The Voyage South

The Astreya Triolgy: Book 1

When Astreya is 17, his widowed mother gives him his father's knife, riddling notebook and bracelet. Searching for the meaning of his strange inheritance he sails south into adventure: he endures storm at sea, betrayal, slavery, night escapes, false accusations and knife fights, but with the help of loyal friends he also begins to find love and the chance to discover his destiny.

Astreya Book 2: The Men of the Sea

The Astreya Triolgy: Book 2

In The Astreya Trilogy, Book 2: The Men of the Sea, Astreya learns from his grandfather Oron how to control his power over the shipstones aboard the great ship Cygnus. He still yearns for Lindey, left on shore against her will.

Trying to purge a nagging guilt, Roaring Jack sails the Mollie south again, and this time Astreya's friend Cam is a stowaway.

Astreya's cousin Adramin tries to make Astreya fail. At The City of the Sea, the lawful meeting place of the great ships, family politics turn violent, with tragic consequences. Astreya must hurry to protect Lindey from his marauding uncle Mufrid, who wants the stone Gar gave her.

A day-and-night sailing duel, a battle at sea, a shipwreck, a fight in a pub, escapes by sea and secret passage, help from unexpected allies and treachery from family all take their toll on Astreya and his friends.

Astreya Book 3: The Wanderer's Curse

The Astreya Triolgy: Book 3

The conclusion of The Astreya Trilogy. Lindey takes Astreya, Cam, Damon, and Arneb to Matris, only to discover that much has changed since she left home. Suspicion and distrust surround them. Astreya and Lindey begin to resolve their difficulties, but a gossipy old man on a horse misrepresents the past, and all five must flee aboard Arneb's boat. Once outside the shelter of the hills surrounding Matris, the group discovers that the Men of the Sea are searching for their navigation stones, and they think the Village where Astreya was born has them. Astreya must arrive in time to avert a massacre. When the great black ship reaches the headlands of the fjord, Astreya must confront the worst and the best aspects of his inheritance before he can unravel his past and lift The Wanderer's Curse.

The Laughing Princess

A collection of short fantasy stories.

The Laughing Princess is a collection of 12 interrelated stories told to a brother and sister of that special age at which they had recently discovered that their parents did not always understand them.

Petra and Daniel are bored by the quaint fishing Village where their parents have chosen to holiday, until they picnic alone on a beach below a ruined castle. There, they encounter a small but powerful Dragon who tells them stories in which they meet a princess, a wizard, a blind man in love, a dull fellow who learns to laugh, a thief-of-hearts musician, a poet, a warrior, a beautiful girl with ambitions, a tavern girl who meets a witch, and a queen who defies a sea rover – each one involving a different dragon.

Their world will never be the same.
