Fremont Opera House

Fremont Opera House is an organization in Fremont, Nebraska that offers a summer camp program for 5th to 8th grade children, in which participants learn how to perform a radio drama. The 2014 radio drama camp run from July 7-11.

Again this year, we are proud to be offering two camps for young people to develop in dramatic training and performance. We will have a scripted, performance camp running June 23 through 27, and a less formal creative dramatics camp running July 7 through 11. Both camps will be held at the Fremont Opera House in downtown Fremont.

The Performance camp will be a staged, scripted production which is developed over the week and performed in the style of radio performance with script in hand, allowing us to focus on voice and character.

The creative drama camp is less formal with more improvised action which will end in a final showcase for parents. Space is limited for the Performance camp.

Participants in the performance camp can also participate the following week in the creative drama camp.

Both the Performance camp and the Creative Drama camp will be offered for students who have just finished 4th grade thought those who have just finished 8th grade.

There is also a Creative Drama camp session offered for students who have just finished 2nd and 3rd grades.
