Fingers on the Button

Fingers on the Button is an an audio drama series that presents short, first-person accounts of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world.

A tape recorder was left in an abandoned grocery store on the outskirts of a post-apocalyptic Chicago. The recorder was found with a note: “Press record. Tell your truth. Hit stop.” These are those truths.

Within the barren wasteland formally known as the United States, an abandoned grocery store houses a tape recorder paired with a note: “Press record. Tell your truth. Hit stop.” Sure, people enter initially in the hopes of food, supplies, or shelter. And maybe most of them ignore the invitation and continue onward in search of meaning elsewhere.

But some people hit record.

Maybe it's a form of therapy. Maybe it's something to validate their existence. Maybe it's to prove that they exist at all. Whatever their reason for adding their truth to the tape can be up to you. What they say can be up to you. Who they are, where they're going, where they've been — it can all be up to you.1)
