Audiobookworm is an online audiobook rental company. Members create a wish list (or “queue”) of their favorite audiobook titles. The first available title in each queue is shipped via mail − both outbound and return shipping is free. Members may keep each title for as long as they choose, with no due dates or late fees. After listening to their audiobook, members return it in the prepaid envelope provided by Audiobookworm. Once the returned book is received, Audiobookworm ships the next title in the member's queue.

Audiobookworm also offers instant downloads of digital audiobooks in WMA format. Members install free software provided by Audiobookworm that allows them to download audiobooks to play back on their computer, or upload to a WMA-compatible MP3 player. Each digital download can be “checked out” for 14 days, at which time the file expires and is added back to the digital library for other members to check out.
